SHEImpact
Launched in 2025, SHEImpact is a flagship women-focused entrepreneurship and economic empowerment program designed to support women-led businesses through a holistic, inclusive, and impact-driven approach

Program Overview
Implemented in partnership with UNFPA and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, SHEImpact (August–December 2025) supported 97 women entrepreneurs across Cairo, Alexandria, Fayoum, Beni Suef, and Qena through an integrated model combining business development, GBV awareness, and psychosocial support. Designed to address both economic and social barriers to women’s participation, the program provided capacity-building workshops, mentorship, investment readiness training, pitching opportunities, and counseling services. Supporting startups across creative industries, food and agribusiness, health and wellbeing, education, retail, manufacturing, and social enterprises, SHEImpact strengthened business models, enhanced operational readiness, and equipped participants to sustainably grow and scale their ventures.
Program Activities & Support
Participants engaged in a comprehensive support journey that combined business capacity-building workshops with mentorship and one-to-one guidance tailored to their ventures. The program included pitching preparation and investment readiness training, followed by pitching sessions and exhibitions that showcased women-led businesses to wider audiences. In parallel, participants attended GBV awareness sessions as well as counseling and psychosocial support sessions. This integrated model ensured that women entrepreneurs received not only the technical business tools required for growth, but also the supportive environment necessary to build confidence, resilience, and long-term sustainability.
Startups & Sectors Supported
SHEImpact supported a diverse group of women-led startups operating across a wide range of high-impact and growth-oriented sectors. The participating businesses reflected strong market potential alongside meaningful social relevance, with many ventures addressing pressing community needs while maintaining commercial viability. The supported startups spanned creative and cultural industries—such as handmade products, crafts, design, and creative services—as well as food and agribusiness, including home-based food production and value-added agricultural products. The program also included ventures in health, wellbeing, and personal services focused on women- and community-centered solutions, in addition to education and skills development initiatives offering training, learning tools, and youth-focused services. Other sectors included retail and small-scale manufacturing, particularly sustainable and locally produced goods, as well as social enterprises addressing livelihoods, inclusion, and community resilience. Through the program, startups strengthened their business models, enhanced financial and operational planning, and gained the readiness required to pitch, exhibit, and access broader markets and support networks.
Impact & Outcomes
By combining economic empowerment with wellbeing and protection components, SHEImpact contributed to the development of more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable women-led enterprises. The program strengthened women’s participation in local economies, expanded access to entrepreneurial opportunities, and reinforced women’s leadership across diverse sectors. SHEImpact was implemented through donor funding and reflects Gemini Africa’s broader commitment to advancing women’s economic empowerment, inclusive entrepreneurship, and socially grounded impact across Egypt.
