Previous Rounds

Previously launched as Uplift for Upper Egypt, the first round delivered a nine-month capacity-building journey supporting 45 social enterprises and MSMEs across four governorates: Sohag, Qena, Luxor and Aswan.

The program focused on strengthening business foundations and sustainability for enterprises operating in sectors such as agribusiness, waste management, education, and health services. Participants received technical training, business modelling support, marketing guidance, one-to-one coaching, matchmaking opportunities, and monetary prizes to support prototype development and market readiness. Program Structure & Support

Across all rounds, the program follows a cohort-based incubation model, combining standardized methodology with strong local adaptation. Delivery is decentralized across multiple Upper Egypt governorates and implemented through successive cycles to ensure accessibility and contextual relevance. The program typically includes: Incubation Phase: core capacity building and tailored coaching Acceleration & Growth Support: advanced mentoring, market access, and pitching support for high-performing ventures Final pitching and selection mechanisms, enabling top enterprises to progress and access further opportunities Across its rounds, the program has consistently delivered an integrated package of support, including: Capacity building & training in business modelling, financial planning, marketing, sales, legal compliance, impact measurement, and pitching Sector-specific technical support aligned with agribusiness, waste and recycling, education, health, technology-enabled services, and creative solutions One-to-one coaching and mentorship, based on structured needs assessments and tailored development plans Practical, applied learning, with participants directly implementing tools and frameworks within their enterprises Networking, matchmaking, and exposure, connecting entrepreneurs with ecosystem actors, partners, and potential funders Financial and in-kind support, including grants, prizes, and business linkages (in earlier rounds)
