Launched in 2024, the ESNA Tourism Sector Economic Empowerment Program is a targeted initiative designed to strengthen small and emerging tourism businesses in Esna, Luxor Governorate. Implemented in partnership with Takween, the program focuses on enhancing the capacities of local tourism entrepreneurs while promoting collaboration and quality-driven growth within the tourism sector.

The program supported 15 tourism business owners in Luxor Governorate through one full implementation cycle, targeting small and emerging enterprises operating across Esna’s local tourism value chain.

Through the program, participating businesses strengthened their operational systems and service quality standards, improved their business models to better align with market demands, and expanded peer learning and collaboration within Esna’s tourism ecosystem. All participants received certificates of completion, recognizing their engagement and progress throughout the program. The initiative also received media coverage that highlighted its role in empowering local tourism enterprises and reinforcing the overall tourism value chain in Esna.
