Creative Management Program

Program Overview

Implemented in 2024, the Creative Management Program is an ongoing capacity-building initiative designed to strengthen the professional skills of Egyptian and refugee arts and culture managers in Cairo Governorate. The program is implemented in partnership with the French Embassy and the French Institute in Egypt, reinforcing international collaboration in support of Egypt’s creative and cultural sectors. The program addresses a critical gap in the creative ecosystem by equipping participants with practical business knowledge, entrepreneurial thinking, and core arts and culture management skills. It aims to enable creative professionals to operate sustainably and professionally within the artistic and cultural scene, moving beyond reliance on passion and talent alone.

Program Focus & Approach

The Creative Management Program delivers a hands-on, practice-oriented learning journey that combines theoretical foundations with real-world application. Participants are introduced to the core principles of arts and culture management, entrepreneurial and business thinking, project planning and sustainability, as well as professional practices within the cultural sector. A central element of the program is its strong emphasis on learning through doing, as participants actively work on real artistic and cultural projects. This approach enables them to apply acquired knowledge in practical settings, strengthen their professional competencies, and enhance their readiness to operate sustainably within the creative and cultural landscape.

Impact & Outcomes

Through the Creative Management Program, participants develop the skills required to professionally manage and lead artistic and cultural initiatives, while applying entrepreneurial and business thinking to their creative projects. The program enhances their employability and readiness to operate effectively within the cultural sector, contributing to the broader strengthening of Egypt’s creative economy ecosystem. Overall, the initiative reflects Gemini Africa’s commitment to capacity building, inclusivity, and sustainable cultural development, and continues to support the professionalization of creative and cultural management across Egypt.
